CWT Digital prepares for the TTG Virtual: Cruise event. 28th March - Tomorrow's TTG Virtual: Cruise event will bring together some of the cruise industry's biggest names to help cruise lines and agents improve their business, and CWT Digital's MD Dan Caplin will be heading up a session entitled 'Make waves with cruise online'. Budget 2011: Freeze in APD hailed as a 'relief' for Heathrow passengers. 24th March - Heathrow Airport's owners BAA have welcomed the freeze in Air Passenger Duty announced in the 2011 Budget, and claimed that it would benefit the UK as a whole.
Cruise news: new ships, itineraries and ports of call. 21st-28th March - TTG Live have been reporting on the past week’s cruise news, including Carnival Magic passing sea trials, Celebrity Cruises revealing its 2012 programme and Royal Caribbean planning a European expansion for 2012.
TripAdvisor notifies customers of email list theft. 25th March - Following the theft of part of its member email list the previous week, online travel site TripAdvisor has alerted its customers that they may receive unsolicited emails as a result. The company has stated that no passwords were taken and all of their customers’ financial information will be secure.
Travel websites making moves into social spaces. 23rd March - Breaking Travel News reports on the increase in travel websites encouraging customers to engage with their brand via social media.
