CWT Digital news
New trade site for CWT Digital’s client sees success in its first weeks. 9th May – The BookaBed Trade site has already taken an impressive number of bookings since its launch at the end of April. Targeted at travel agencies in Ireland booking holidays for customers over the phone and in travel shops, BookaBed Trade has been developed by CWT Digital to allow travel agents to alter pricing, search accommodation options quickly and create dynamic packaging rules to provide customers with the best possible holiday deals.
CWT Digital at the UK Cruise Convention. 3rd-5th May – The UK Cruise Convention saw the UK’s biggest names in cruise coming together for seminars, debates and a trade fair. Plus, some of the CWT Digital team were lucky enough to go aboard the fantastic Independence of the Seas cruise ship! P & O Cruises takes delivery of Adonia cruise ship. 4th May – The new Adonia cruise ship has now been delivered to P&O Cruises ahead of its launch later this month. The Adonia will be P&O’s smallest cruise ship and Dame Shirley Bassey will name the ship at a ceremony in Southampton.
Holiday Taxis to expand in Germany. 3rd May – CWT Digital’s client Holiday Taxis will be plugging into Germany’s major dynamic packaging brands in a bid to double the size of its business in the country.
News from the UK Cruise Convention. 3rd-5th May – Some of the most important issues in cruise were discussed at the UK Cruise Convention, including the negative perceptions of cruise holidays, the possibility of Liverpool becoming a cruise ship base, and Europe competing with North America to be the largest cruise source market.
Technology news
Facebook to reward ad views with virtual credits. 6th May – Travolution reports on the new Facebook scheme which will see users being rewarded for watching ads on the site with ‘virtual currency’ credits to be redeemed on the Facebook Deals site.
Google to bring Street View concept to hotel interiors. 6th May – Google is launching an enhancement to its Places listings. The Business Photos service will showcase the interiors of hotels and other businesses in a style similar to Google Street View.
